Duke suffered one of the worst losses in NCAA Tournament Final Four history on Saturday night.

The No. 1 seeded Blue Devils fell to the No. 1 seed Houston Cougars in epic fashion at The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday evening. Duke was leading Houston by 14 points with a couple of minutes to play. However, the Cougars stormed back. Kelvin Sampson’s team finished the game on an 11-1 run, securing a spot in the national title game on Monday night.

Jon Scheyer, who was looking to lead Duke to its first non-Coach K national championship, was understandably shocked.

“Frankly, the game, we did what we wanted to do,” Scheyer said postgame. “I thought our guys followed the game plan, controlled the game, we had the lead for 35 minutes, winning by six with a minute 15 to go. They made plays. You got to give ’em a ton of credit. We didn’t make those plays.

“You go from some of the most special moments in the tournament to the most heartbreaking loss. I’m not about to feel sorry for one second. These guys have done an incredible job. It’s heartbreaking. It’s incredibly disappointing. There’s a lot of pain that comes with this. That’s what the tournament is all about. You’re an inch away from the national championship game.”

Meanwhile, was the Duke world is heartbroken, a stunning Blue Devils cheerleader turned heads on social media.

Duke Blue Devils cheerleader Anna Perez turned heads on social media during the epic Final Four loss.
